Through our Bright Sparks theme we have been learning about how people of different faiths celebrate their Festivals of Light. For Diwali we made divas, paper flower garlands, Rangoli patterns and dressed up in Indian clothes.
We learnt about the story behind the Jewish festival of Hanukkah and had a little celebration with the Menorah with its 8 candles on the table. We ate doughnuts and then tried some Jewish dancing!
For Advent we have made small advent wreaths and a hand print Christmas tree to decorate our door. We recorded the "Brown Bears handbell ringers" playing "Twinkle Star" for people to listen to as they admire our creativity.
