Autumn/Winter Term 2
Hello and Welcome back to Robins' page! The class have returned from their short break to start a new theme called 'Whizz, Bang, Pop'. This has involved learning about all things to do with Electricity. We've been very busy in class learning about where electricity comes from and how it helps us in daily life. The group has been participating in making electrical circuits. We have also been participating in plenty of scientific activities and demonstrations such static electricity moving water experiments and using electrical magic wands to help us learn how electricity works.
Robins have been participating in many activities in and around school. We enjoyed this through participating in Halloween celebrations this term by decorating the class and having a disco. We also enjoyed the Children in Need day by helping raise money by dressing all spotty!
The class also have been making wreaths to commemorate Armistice Day in School.
Our second theme this term was 'Winter Wonderland'. We have been learning about hibernation including which animals hibernate and animals hibernate through sensory stories. We have also been learning about which animals live in the arctic and antarctic. Robins have been looking at snowflakes and making them from paper to understand better different shapes and symmetry.
With the run to up to Christmas, there have been lots of activities going on around the school. Robins have been participating in a wonderful Christmas concert with friends and family in attendance. We have also been making everything from christmas cakes, cards, holly wreaths and much much more!
So, to finish Robins all wish you a very happy holidays! We will see you in the New Year.
