Oysters enjoyed lots of fun activities for World Book Week. We read different books outside in the sun, we dressed up as different characters from our favourite books and listened to stories on the whiteboard!
The highlight of the last week of term 3 was learning about spring festivals around the World. We had a go at celebrating Indian Holi, Japanese festival of cherry blossoms, British cheese rolling, Thailand festival of water, Bosnian scrambled egg festival, Tulip festival in Canada and last but not least Baba Marta festival in Bulgaria.
We hope you've all had a lovely, restful Christmas and New Year!
Oysters are keen to get back to work and seem very happy to be back in a routine....We are looking at Rainbows for our first theme, check back soon to see what we've been doing in class
wishing you all a Merry Christmas, we have been very busy making our own wrapping paper, wrapping and delivering pressents around the school and enjoying the festive celebrations.
Once Upon Time.
Our first theme gave us an opportunity to listen to a lot of stories, visit our school library and make some amazing scenery and favourite characters from fairy tales.
We really enjoyed preparations for Christmas and learning about hot and cold in science lessons.
Our next topic for this term is "Once upon a time". We will be learning about fairy stories, time and number facts. We plan to spent some time in the school library and read a lot of books.
