Autumn Term (October 2019)

The Nightingales have been practising their skills of prediction linked to the science behind 'Floating and sinking.' They have been trying to explain the reasons why some heavy items manage to stay afloat when placed in water and others sink straight to the bottom of a water tank.

We discovered that it was all about density, mass, and pockets of air.

                                Autumn Term September 2019

Nightingales have returned to school after their Summer holiday and fully embraced our 'Daily Mile' challenge. Each day we venture out onto the playground and try to be active for 15 minutes. Most of us walk. Some even jog! This is part of our preparation for learning for the rest of the day. You can clearly see that our daily stroll also involves a chat. It's good to talk.

We have also been learning about our world and our lives on Planet Earth. The class have listened to music and watched video clips that show how beautiful our 'Wonderful world' is, and that we should try  our very best to take care of it.
