We had a fabulous 'Kids Day Out' visit to Wicksteed park in Kettering, courtesy of The Rotary Club. It was a warm day and we had a class picnic in the shade under the trees. Some of us took a train ride around the lake. Others got wet on the Log flume. We experienced the thrills of the racing cars, the roller coasters and the Umbrella ride. The Carousel was a firm favourite. It was a tiring day but everyone had a great time.
Our class performed a scene from the hit musical show ‘Grease’ for the school’s theatre production of ‘The Jolly Kingsley Postman.’ Everyone rehearsed the dance moves and put on a stunning performance for their families and friends.
Term 3 (January and February 2017)
We have been learning about The Vikings as part of our History Topic linked to Invasion and Settlement
The children have had lots of fun creating Viking helmets and shields, as well as sampling Viking type foods and learning about daily life in a Viking settlement in Britain.
The entire Robins Class have experienced a 'Sensory' story in our sensory studio. The story was about friendship at the end of the rainbow. The children thoroughly enjoyed the sights and sounds as well as the ever changing lights and musical elements of the story.
Autumn Term 1
We have been learning how to use paint software in ICT to re-create our own versions of landscapes and seascapes.
