Bears trip to Hunstanton
On the hottest day in 40 years Brown Bears and Polar Bears traveled on the minibuses to Hunstanton.
We had a fantastic time, picnicking on the beach, paddling in the sea followed by a trip to the Sealife Centre. The children were allowed to touch Patrick the starfish and Derick the crab and were told lots of interesting facts about the sea creatures. We finished the day with an ice cream and a big smile on all of our faces.
Our Class Superstars!
All of our Brown Bears love to earn stars by working very hard, being helpful and being kind to their friends to name just a few of the reasons. Once 10 stars have been earned, the children get to choose a small prize from our class prize box and add a Brown Bear on to our Big Picture chart. It's very exciting to fill this chart as it means we get to have a class treat! Have a look at some of the fun things that we have chosen to do as our reward.
We're Going on a Bear Hunt...
At the end of Spring Term, Brown Bears (and their neighbouring Polar Bears) had a fun outdoors afternoon for their big picture treat. After a delicious picnic lunch in the local woods we went on a bear hunt! Recreating the classic children's book by Michael Rosen and Helen Oxenbury we went through fields, the squelchy mud, a snowstorm and a cave. All the children had a fantastic time; the bear hunt really captured their imaginations and they were great at walking to and from the woods.
